Hors-Piste Lodge
Back to basics
Located on the shores of Lake Stukely, this lodge is a unique place to enjoy the simple life and return to the basics – no hoopla, nothing but the pleasure of being together to play and dream about life. Pure bliss in the woods!
From the serious to the crazy, no two stays are the same when barriers come down, which is something the Hors-Piste Lodge encourages with its simple way of life. Daily tasks are shared, meals are eaten together (of course, our chef will have prepared you a delicious meal), and time – and the living room – is yours for chatting, relaxing, reinventing the world….
In the summer, if the sun is out, perhaps you’ll have the urge to go for a canoe excursion, a swim, or lunch on the mountain. In the winter, the whiteness and silence of the surroundings may entice you to snowshoe or cross-country ski. Home is the Hors-Piste Lodge.
Preparation mode
For an enjoyable experience, come prepared. The Hors-Piste Lodge is a lovely, large shelter facing Mount Chauve, with no modern amenities such as electricity, telephone, or the Internet. But rest assured; your comfort will not be affected. The lodge is far enough away to feel isolated, but close enough to be accessible to everyone. It will take you 15 to 30 minutes to get there by foot, ski, snowshoe, or canoe, depending on the season.
A coordinator will be assigned to help you plan your stay in this fabulous location. With this person, you’ll see to all the details: meal schedule, activities, or specific requests. Your coordinator will ensure that everything is covered.
Upon your arrival at Jouvence, your guide will greet you and ensure that you have whatever equipment you need to head out on this adventure. It’s time to let yourself relax; your guide/innkeeper can point you to your favourite activities or help you discover new ones. While he or she is taking care of the logistics, all you have to do is let Mother Nature set the pace.
