We received an incredible amount of snow during last week. The cold weather was also very helpful so now our 2 skating rink are open. The cross country and snowshoeing trails are at its best. Yes it’s true, the Holidays are over, but the real ‘white’ winter has settle in our beautiful region. To recover from your busy Holidays, why not treating yourself with a stay at Jouvence! A spring break that’s sure to please! Once again this year, we’ve come up with a program of activities to entertain the whole family. With the theme THE EXPLORERS, you’ll discover Jouvence in the company of the famous coureur des bois Dédé Boussolé, the sophisticated astronomer Sir Tintin Horton, the gentle Annie Gloo, the powerful Admiral Morgane, along with many fantastic creatures.
Naturally, the focus here at Jouvence is on outdoor activities: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, sliding, broomball, hockey, tree-to-tree adventure trail, exploration rallies, treasure hunts, photo safari, orienteering with a compass and GPS, snow fort building, nighttime Frisbee and much more! We also have storytelling every evening, family crafts, indoor climbing, Zumba, yoga, and African dance workshops, a disco night on Thursday, and informal Nouvelle France suppers at our magnificent D’Jouv pavilion.

After several months of strategic planning, Jouvence is officially launching its sustainable development action plan. By implementing this strategy, Jouvence aims to position itself as a reference in the tourism industry with regard to sustainable development in three areas: the environment, the economy, and the social dimension.

Through these endeavours, Jouvence hopes to show its clients, the tourism industry, and other businesses, the benefits of sustainable development efforts.
Referred to internally as A Roadmap to Sustainable Development, this plan was initiated by the management committee and a number of employees; it is the reflection of an innovative and dynamic team. To help with the process, Jouvence mandated the social design consulting firmTransfert Environnement, based in Sherbrooke.
This action plan is perfectly aligned with the mission adopted by D’Jouv, the sustainable development youth centre launched in May 2010, and with the Tourism Eastern Townships’ regional sustainable development plan. Protecting the environment has been a long-standing concern for Jouvence. From a social and economic perspective, Jouvence has set itself apart through its participative approach and the quality and quantity of jobs offered in the Eastern Townships. A five-star vacation resort, Jouvence offers its guests a unique nature experience in Quebec.
